Outline of project: 

Single storey rear and extension to form new open plan kitchen and dining space, with a ground floor shower room.

The works:

The works included external landscaping, foundations, drainage, external walls, ground floor slab, pitched roof, structural re-configuration works, re-location of Rayburn oven, plaster-boarding and plastering walls, plumbing and electrics, new  tiled flooring, internal decorations and kitchen cabinetry with worktops.

Due to the disruption to the ground floor the client had to vacate their property for part of the works. To coordinate this we compiled a phasing plan and detailed programme of works to ensure everything ran smoothly.

From the very start of the project we liked that Paul and his business partners all visited site together and discussed our options. We were able to discuss ideas that we had and suggestions they had, nothing seemed too much trouble.

The quote to begin with, was for the kitchen extension building and to include a utility room and cloakroom/shower.  As things progressed we were in consultation with Paul, Greg and Nik about fitting out the kitchen, utility and cloakroom/shower.  We discussed Kitchen units, paint colours, tiles for the floor and tiles for the walls!  Datum Point seemed to have a man to do anything and everything!!  All work was carried out with care and precision and everyone that worked on our house extension were some of the nicest people we have met.
