Outline of project:
After helping the client through the planning process with one of their preferred architects, Datum Point Construction was initially appointed to construct a treble storey side and rear extension. As the works progressed the clients requirements have continued to develop. As well as the extensions, the project now involves a full house refurbishment, new detached swimming pool and full landscaping package.
The internal works include major structural works to open up and form a large open plan main entrance hall with a grand staircase that is being fabricated off site in Poland and includes squared black and gold bespoke made balustrade and handrails with cocoons.
Works also include 3 large bespoke dressing rooms produced to a high standard including cabinetry and coffer ceiling details with a linking staircase between two of them. We are removing structural walls between two existing rooms to create one extra large kitchen / dining area, conducting 6 bathroom refurbishments, a downstairs WC, 300 meter squared of extra large format 3 meter by 1 meter tiles to the entire ground floor, matching finish to the stair treads and risers, bespoke mirrored finishes to the walls surrounding the main entrance area.
The external envelope works include the treble storey side and rear extension, re-rendering most of the facade, re-tiling the roof, 5 bi-fold doors to the rear of the property, stone portico entrances to the front main and side entrance.
The landscaping requirements include a new swimming pool to the rear, earthworks, new raised patio, new ornate pergolas, drainage, external walls and outdoor kitchen.
Due to the property being adjacent to the River Lee we had a to deal with a very high water table which resulted in the extensions and to pool having piled foundations with ground beams and water management systems being in place to deal with the ground water.
The works are still on-going, however the client has been extremely happy with our work to date. So much so that the client is instructing us to help out with other works on their portfolio of other properties and business.
